Patricia “Pat” A. Janz (nee: Cotone) age 77, of Cleveland passed away peacefully January 8th, 2023.
Devoted mother of Nicholas and Mark (Marcus). Proud grandmother of Josephine Janz (Andrew Greenlee) and loving great-grandmother of Charlotte.
Beloved aunt of Cathy Borelli (Wes Warner) and Archie Cotone, dearest great-aunt of Johnny and Sean. Pat was also a loving Godmother and a friend of many.
She was preceded in death by her parents Sisto and Amelia Cotone (nee: Gallina) and her sister Palma “Paula” Cotone.
Pat was in the first graduating class of Our Lady of Mount Carmel School - Class of 1959 and was a member of the St. Agnes Sodality. After school Pat became a beautician, was a lunch lady at St. Joseph High School and then worked as a cook at the Slovene Home For The Aged where she eventually retired.
Known for her heart of gold, she loved to dance at the old Slovenian Hall and made many memories at Anna’s Pizzeria on W25th, she enjoyed cooking, gambling, shopping and all the swing era music; Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and especially Lou Rawls.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held
Friday, January 13th, 10:30am at
Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church
6928 Detroit Ave. Cleveland
Rev. Father James Chia, officiating

Family will receive friends
Thursday, from 5-8pm at the
CANNON – CATAVOLOS FUNERAL HOME
6953 W130th St. Parma Heights.
Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in Patricia’s name to the Slovene Home for the Aged 18621 Neff Rd. Cleveland, OH 44119
