Obituary

Mary M. Cottle, 69 passed away on February 10, 2020 in her home in Lakeland, Florida.

She was born in Barberton, Ohio on January 27, 1951 to Donald and Dorothy (Smith) Gilcher,

she was the youngest of three children and only girl.

Beloved wife of Elmer Cottle, loving mother of Dottie (Shane) Kent,

and proud grandmother of Madison and Mason Kent,

Mary also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, family and many dear friends.

Mary had many jobs in her lifetime, being a musician was the one she treasured most.

She sang in a rock-n-roll band for over 25 years and played 3 keyboards and the trumpet.

Her love and passion for music inspired her nephew to become a musician

and her granddaughter to carry on her angel voice.

Mary was also an animal lover.

She was an animal advocate - not for any charity - just for the family home.

Mary loved her tattoos too- having gotten 4 of them by the time she was 62.

She enjoyed sharing humor with others by being the “class clown” and her memorable laugh was contagious.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers; Donald Jay and Thomas Gilcher.
