Obituary

Paul P. Fransko age 84 of South Russell, formerly of Chardon passed away peacefully, March 14, 2024.
Beloved husband for 63 years of JoAnna (nee Derrico). 
Loving father of Jodi Schwendeman (Charles), Michael (Melissa), and Patric (Cammie).  Dear grandfather of Jonathan Schwendeman and James “Jamie” Schwendeman (Dana) and Isabella and Enzo Fransko.  Proud great grandfather of Tia Rose Schwendeman.
Dear brother of Dawna Heinz (Gary deceased), brother in-law of John Derrico (Kathy) and James Derrico (Ruthann) and uncle of many.
 
Paul was preceded in death by his great grandson Christian James Schwendeman, parents Michael and Emma and his siblings; Michael and Edward Fransko and Delores Puhnaty, Irene White, Leroy and Ronald Fransko and Sandra Derrico. 
 
Aside from his family, Paul was most proud of serving in the United States Navy for 6 years.
Paul grew up in Monongahela, Pennsylvania, married JoAnna in 1961 and moved to Mentor, Ohio in 1964. He retired from the Illuminating Company after many years as an electrician.  Paul loved all sports, especially football, hunting, fishing, and golfing. 
 
There will be two gatherings for Paul: one in Ohio and one in Pennsylvania.

Saturday, April 13th from 11am – 1:30pm
followed by a memorial service at 1:30pm.
Pastor James Derrico will be officiating.
 
For Pennsylvania:
Family and friends will gather at
The Christian Center Church
130 Charity Lane Rostraver, PA 15012
Saturday, April 20th from 11:30am – 12:30pm
followed by a memorial service at 12:30pm
officiated by Pastor John Derrico (Retired).
 
Inurnment and Military Honors will be at Mon Valley Memorial Park in Donora, Pennsylvania.
