The first time I met Barbara was on a Bedford School bus. We were both chaperones for her daughter Jeanne and our son Joey. I can still remember us chatting on the bus and her being so warm and friendly. It was like we had known each other for a long time. The holidays were so special to her. Our family loved to drive down Washington St. to see the beautiful decorations for every holiday. The Christmas display was always the best. Barbara was a very special person and we are sure she will be missed by many. We will keep the Pike family in our prayers.
